Alternative lifestyle patients may not be aware of the need for protection against STDs. Use of a dental dam can be demonstrated using an exam glove. Dental dams are available in a variety of flavors. Your patient might not realize that something as obvious as using a condom to cover a vibrator used in common with a partner will be helpful.
